Term 5

Welcome to the summer term! This is a very exciting time of year where we'll be working towards presenting a class assembly, preparing work for the art exhibition and taking on new responsibilities... I can't wait to tell you more! In maths we'll be expanding our understanding of decimals and deepening our work on calculating areas of shapes. Our History focus will be the Ancient Greeks, and in Art we'll be working on recyclable fashion, as well as perfecting some final pieces from pervious terms. Please see the curriculum map attached below for more information.

Home learning

Children are expected to read at least 5 times a week, and log their reading in their yellow reading logs. Reading folders must be brought in every day so reading logs can be checked and updated as children read in school. 

In Term 5 Children will also need to log into TT Rockstars from home, complete a short maths task and weekly spelling tasks. Paper copies of home learning will be given out on Fridays to be handed in the following Friday. All home learning for Term 5 can also be accessed in the link below. 

This term P.E will be on Mondays and Fridays.   

You will need to wear:

• Plain black / navy shorts, plain white t-shirt or white t-shirt with school logo
• Trainers for outdoor PE
• Plain black / navy joggers and a plain black / navy sweatshirt or ‘hoodie’ may be worn for cold weather outdoor PE in the winter.
• A blue school fleece with logo is also available.

*Please do not wear different colours or clothes with other logos.*
