Term 3

Happy new year and Welcome to Term 3. We have a great term ahead, including a mixed media art project, some story writing and continuing our work on fractions. We'll be learning all about the Tudors, including our trip to Hampton Court, and conducting lots of experiments linked to materials and their properties.

Home learning

This term we are very excited to have re-introduced reading logs across the school to encourage daily reading and reading for pleasure. Reading is key to learning and development across all areas of the curriculum and life in general – we cannot overemphasise the importance of encouraging your children to read regularly and build a love for reading.   

Home learning will also include logging into TT Rockstars from home, a short maths task and weekly spellings. Year 6 children have the privilege of special maths books to complete their home learning. We will set a page a week on Mondays to be handed in the following Monday. 

P.E

This term P.E will be on Mondays and Tuesdays.  

You will need to wear:

• Plain black / navy shorts, plain white t-shirt or white t-shirt with school logo
• Trainers for outdoor PE
• Plain black / navy joggers and a plain black / navy sweatshirt or ‘hoodie’ may be worn for cold weather outdoor PE in the winter.
• A blue school fleece with logo is also available.

*Please do not wear different colours or clothes with other logos.*
