Term 6

This is a very exciting time of year where we'll be working towards our film and the leavers' assembly. In addition, we will be preparing work for the art exhibition. In maths we'll be learning about coordinates, telling the time, reading timetables and completing some fun projects. Our Geography focus will be doing some fieldwork. Please see the curriculum map attached below for more information.

Home learning

Children are expected to read and log this in their reading logs, working towards 25 reads, 50 reads and 100 reads. Reading is key to learning and development across all areas of the curriculum and life in general – we cannot overemphasise the importance of encouraging your children to read regularly and build a love for reading.   

Home learning will also include logging into TT Rockstars from home, a short maths task and weekly spellings. Year 6 children have the privilege of special maths books to complete their home learning. We will set a page a week on Mondays to be handed in the following Monday. 

P.E

This term P.E will be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  

You will need to wear:

• Plain black / navy shorts, plain white t-shirt or white t-shirt with school logo
• Trainers for outdoor PE
• Plain black / navy joggers and a plain black / navy sweatshirt or ‘hoodie’ may be worn for cold weather outdoor PE in the winter.
• A blue school fleece with logo is also available.

*Please do not wear different colours or clothes with other logos.*
